    Description

For Sale: All original 1975 Hurst Olds W-25
    Starting bid: 0 with reserve.
(not a 442, Ebay forced this category, does not recognize Hurst Olds)
    This car is one
of 1,293 white HurstOlds produced in 1975.
Cameo white exterior, white seat interior with black dash and carpet. T-tops with white vinyl top. No rips or tears in the seats, they look very good.
The front bucket seat covers are the original “reversible” Hurst Olds seat covers – an innovative idea that never really caught on. This is the W-25 package with the Rocket 350 Olds V8 engine and TH 350 transmission. Original Hurst dual gate automatic shifter. Pump the gas pedal, and the car starts right up and drives smoothly.
I am, I believe, the third owner of this car, having owned it for over ten years in Texas. The previous owner was an attorney in the San Francisco, CA area. It has been driven very sparingly, and has been stored and maintained in my garage, out of the hot Texas sun. The mechanical functioning is very fine, no known issues. It has the original motor and transmission. The carburetor was replaced by the previous owner and has held up. The most recent work to it has been replacing the battery and the wiper blades, this August. The car has recently passed inspection. Cosmetically, the car looks very good. Straight frame and body, never in an accident. It could easily be restored to like-new condition if the next owner wanted to, without too much effort. Even now it turns heads. In fact, this car turned the head of a Texas state trooper, who, as he passed me, gave me a big smile and a thumbs up – true story!
I am approaching 70 years of age, so I really should pass this beauty on to the next person who appreciates these vintage Oldsmobiles the way I do. I am an Olds enthusiast and own or have owned the following: 1966 Olds 442; 1967 Olds Cutlass convertible; 1975 Hurst Olds (this car); 1979 Hurst Olds; and 1984 Hurst Olds.

    Needs List:
There are a few minor cosmetic and other issues. The paint job still shines and looks fine but if you get up close, you will see cracking. The Hurst Olds gold pinstriping has some wear and tear, as seen in the photos. The “fasten seat belt” light (idiot light) in the instrument cluster comes on when you put the key in the ignition and doesn’t shut off after you fasten your belt. The plastic swivel knob for the driver’s seat broke off. There are some minor rust spots here and there, otherwise it really is essentially rust-free. The T-top on the driver’s side has a thin line (crack) but does not leak. The tires have very low miles (<500 mi), but probably should be replaced just due to their age (about 5 years old). One of the wheel center hubs is missing (see photo).
As with all vintage classic cars, this model is becoming scarce, especially in low mileage, nice condition. Several years ago an online source stated to expect the selling price for the 1975 H/O W-25 in very good condition to be around K, with the 1975 H/O W-30 model around K.
    TERMS:
Bidding starts at 0. Bid with confidence, and bid to win this nice classic Oldsmobile. The winner will need to meet the reserve amount. Non-refundable 0 Paypal deposit due at close of Ebay auction, within 24 hours. The balance is due within 3 days, payable via bank-to-bank wire transfer. Could also do Paypal - but caution, watch those fees. Wire transfer should save $ compared to Paypal’s fees, check on it to be sure. Failure to complete payment will forfeit the deposit and the sale of the vehicle. Buyers have the option of arranging finance through the Ebay Motors Financing Service.
Note: no trades or swapping of vehicles in this transaction.
    Vehicle Delivery
The winner is responsible for arranging and paying for pick up and/or shipment of the vehicle to their location. This should be done in a timely manner so as not to forfeit the sale. If you are looking for a door-to-door auto shipping service, I have used DAS shippers in the past, and can recommend them.
    Vehicle Warranty
This used 1975 Hurst Olds is being sold as-is/where-is. As with cars of this vintage being sold on Ebay and elsewhere, buyer understands that no written or verbal warranty is offered. Happy bidding!

Apologies! There is a mistake in terms of the mileage in the description. What is listed is actually for one of my other Oldsmobiles. This 1975 Hurst Olds odometer reading is: 46,188
