  • Condition: What I have to offer for your viewing pleasure here is this beautiful antique Middle Eastern coin silver filigree brooch / pin! A fabulous antique late 19th century coin silver pin with ornate Arabic or Middle Eastern script and exceptional silver filigree work. I am not sure who to attribute this to it could be from of the North African tribes such as the Taureg, it could possibly be Islamic in origin as well. It is a stunning pin with an intentionally dark and rich patinated background that really highlights the gleaming gorgeous script in silver! The pin bar and the right front side of the filigree bear hallmarks but they are so tiny I cannot capture them on my camera. It is in superb overall condition for its age with. It measures 2-7/8" long by 1-5/8" wide. It weighs .28 of a Troy ounce, 5.5 pennyweights, 8.6 grams.
