Rare Fetish Diviner Magical Necklace (B) from the BAKONGO People
Belgian Congo - late 1800 or early 1900
- various very old amulets and flasks, wood, horn, leather, metal ;
the leather link has been fixed and is not so antique as the amulets (cf. pictures)
- height : 45 cm (approx. 17.7 in.)
weight : 235 grs ;
- leather flask : 14 cm (approx. 5.5 in.)
other amulets : from 12 cm to 15 cm max. (approx. 4.7 / 5.9 in.) ;
- provenance : my family collection of ethnographic antiques ;
- extremely rare museum item.
