Antique Ottoman Turkish Silver Creamer
Osmanli Gümüş Sütlük
Silver creamer, Turn of 20th Century, Türkiye Turkey Turkiye
The silver creamer has a branch design handle and is engraved with typical Ottoman Turkish scrolling foliage and floral motifs around the body. It is supported on four floral designed feet. The bottom has the zigzag assay mark.
Height: ~12 cm (~4¾ in)
Weight: ~213 g (~7½ oz)
The silver is stamped with assay,
saf
mark and
tughra
of Sultan Abdulhamid II (r.1876-1909). Silver purity is 900, ‟٩٠” as marked with the
tughra
The silver is tarnished (we chose not to polish it), there are very minor scratches and a small dent. Otherwise, the item is in excellent condition.
