Pre-WW2 USMC Letter / Photo USS Salt Lake City

Description

Very nice condition letter home from a US Marine serving with the Marine Detachment aboard USS SALT LAKE CITY (CA25), with an awesome photo-added embossed USMC envelope (see pictures).
PFC Eugene Ambrosio enlisted in the USMC in 1939, and was promoted up to Major through his almost 20 years as a Marine. His assignments were:
USS SALT LAKE CITY,
MARINE BARRACKS MARE ISLAND,
US NAVAL ACADEMY ( USS REINA MERCEDES),
A Company / USMC Barracks Pearl Harbor,
During Korea with the 1st Marine Division as an MP
Promoted to Major in 1957
