is a
stunning antique Turkish Ottoman Empire solid Silver 900 niello
gilt Tobacco case, rectangular form shaped with rounded corners,
all outer surfaces are decorated with very fine niello inlay
workmanship.
Front side pattern:
Coat of Arms of The Ottoman Empire (1882-1922)
Tughra of Sultan Abdul Hamid II
(Reign: 31 August 1876 - 27 April 1909)
The
Coat of Arms of The Ottoman Empire with Tughra of Sultan
Abdul Hamid II
stylized flowers and foliage surround on a superb
geometrical background, is depicted in the oval medallion in the
center of the cover.
Back side pattern:
Floral Fruit Bowl center Medallion,
stylized flowers bouquet, fruits and foliage in a round double
handled footed bowl, on a superb geometrical background.
The initials sign in the center of the bowl is clear and never have
engraved owner intials.
Tobacco case interior is richly parcel gilded.
Cigarette case was made by Armenian S.G. silversmith master in
the Ottoman Empire during late 19th century.
All hallmarks are nice and crisp.
An absolute must for collectors.!

condition, shows wear with slight scratches, and minor dents to the
corners with a minor loss of niello as shown in my close-up photos.
Silver niello art work is brilliant with no stains or tarnish marks.
Interior shows wear with slight scratches and minor gilding loss.
All hallmarks are nice and crisp.
Tobacco case is with no engraved initials, works perfect open and
close as it should.
Tobacco case sold as is, as found and as pictured.
